Zimbrick Honda Delivers Outstanding Customer Service Experiences

We are proud to announce that both Zimbrick Honda at Fish Hatchery Road and Zimbrick Honda Service Center at Grand Canyon Drive have been named a top Customer Service Experience (CSE) performer for 2011!

The CSE award is presented by Honda North America to dealerships enrolled in the Professionals Recognition Program who achieve an overall CSE score of 92.0 or better for customer satisfaction in parts and service during the previous year. This success reflects their continued dedication to delivering the highest quality of work and level of customer service that we strive to achieve at all Zimbrick dealerships.

“We have won the CSE award from Honda every year since it started, 7 years in a row,” service manager Charlie Cupp said. “I am proud of our team and the effort they put into following the Zimbrick Vision of delivering outstanding customer service.”

Zimbrick Volunteers Prepare 8,000 Pounds Of Elbow Macaroni For Second Harvest Foodbank

Members of the Zimbrick Volunteer Network from Zimbrick Fish Hatchery Road united for a planned volunteer day at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Together, they exceeded even their own expectations.

DeNae Gitonga, Second Harvest Foodbank’s volunteer services coordinator, emphasizes the importance of community involvement in Madison.

“Volunteers are crucial to our mission of feeding the hungry in southern Wisconsin,” Gitonga said. “Every volunteer contributes to the distribution of food among 315 partner agencies we serve in 16 counties. Volunteer hours average over 5,000 hours of service per month, but we need even more if we are going to reach our goal of 16 million pounds per year distributed by 2016.”

Twenty volunteers from Zimbrick were given the task of repackaging bulk elbow macaroni noodles into family-friendly portions. Over the course of five hours, volunteers shoveled, scooped, bagged, sealed, boxed, and stacked 8,000 pounds of elbow macaroni!

For perspective, one regular box of macaroni and cheese contains roughly eight ounces of noodles. The amount that Zimbrick’s volunteers packed equates to 16,000 boxes of macaroni and cheese. That’s a lot of food for a lot of people!

Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin provides many volunteer opportunities to the Madison community, both for large groups like the Zimbrick Volunteer Network and individuals who want to give back to the community.

Zimbrick Plans Volunteer Day At Second Harvest Foodbank

The Zimbrick Volunteer Network is proud to announce a planned volunteer day at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin on Tuesday April 10 from 4:00-9:00 p.m.

This project is the first in a series of once-quarterly, one-time projects that Zimbrick will participate in around Dane County. In addition to these projects, the Zimbrick Volunteer Network also participates in once-weekly Meals On Wheels deliveries with Independent Living of Dane County and mentoring and tutoring at Aldo Leopold Elementary School.

“We are pleased to partner with a quality organization like Second Harvest Foodbank. They have done a lot of good work in Madison and the surrounding community,” said Kendall Dahmen, general manager of Zimbrick. “I’m personally excited to participate in the volunteer day, and I’m excited for our employees to be a small part of what makes Madison a great place to live and work.”

Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger in southwestern Wisconsin through community partnerships, serving nearly 141,000 people annually, including 43 percent who are children. Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin is a member of Feeding America and their food bank network.

As a volunteer at Second Harvest Foodbank, you get food and other products ready for distribution to their partner agencies. This includes, but is not limited to, sorting pre-packaged food, packaging bulk food to individual packaging, and labeling and boxing items.

Throwback! 1965 Buick GS, 1962 GMC At Zimbrick Grand Opening

In addition to the many great new Buick and GMC vehicles already on our showroom floor, we’re very fortunate to have two very special vehicles visit during our Grand Opening at Zimbrick Buick/GMC West.

The 1965 Buick GS came to us courtesy of Starc Traxler, and the 1962 GMC came to us courtesy of Bob Wunderlin.

For reference, Zimbrick Buick/GMC West started in June of 1965. You would have seen vehicles like these or very similar to these if you were walking through our parking lot or showroom floor! How cool is that?

True Honda Professionals! Zimbrick Service Wins Big In District Challenge

American Honda recently notified Zimbrick Honda that two of the members of their service team have been named award winners in the Honda Professionals program.

Service consultant Tom Strahota was the District Winner in the Professionals Top Advisor Challenge, and Honda technician John Kowalik was the District Winner in the Professionals Top Tech Challenge.
