Zimbrick is known for selling and servicing many vehicles of the four-wheel variety. In fact, we rarely see or hear anything about bicycles in our auto-driven culture here at the dealership.
But for Zimbrick Infiniti of Madison sales consultant Jeff Goldsby, biking is not only a favorite hobby of his, it’s also a part of his life. In fact, Jeff has biked to work from his home on Madison’s eastside two times a week for a grand total of 121.32 miles in the month of June.
We had a chance to sit down with Jeff and ask him a few questions about his love of the bicycle.
Q: When did you get involved in biking?
A: I’ve been biking since I was 5 years old and I haven’t stopped.
Q: What’s your favorite bike that you own?
A: My favorite bike has to be my 2006 Kustom Kruiser, appropriately named ”Slick Daddy”.
Q: What advice do you give to others who want to get into biking?
A: Start out slow. Don’t try to jump into a long ride that might leave you stranded somewhere or wanting to call someone to pick you up. Pace yourself, and in time you will be able to add more miles to your trips.
Q: What’s your favorite part about biking to work?
A: My favorite part about riding my bike to work is saving gas and getting a great cardio workout. It’s being able to see Madison from a different point of view. It allows you to see a lot of shops and areas that you normally wouldn’t see.
Q: What’s your favorite part about biking in Madison?
A: My favorite part about biking in Madison is the lake loop. There is nothing better than riding around the lake and all the great new paths.
