Zimbrick Honda: 40 Years Of Automotive Excellence

Zimbrick Honda had plenty of reason to celebrate this week.

It was announced a couple months ago that Zimbrick Honda was awarded their 13th Honda President’s Award.  We celebrated the achievement here at the dealership with the unveiling of the President’s Award banner and a cookout for our staff.  After all, earning a Honda President’s Award isn’t easy!

In addtion to this, Honda’s senior district sales manager Josh Beckner came to visit the dealership to honor Zimbrick Honda for being in business for 40 years!  We’ve been your Madison Honda dealership since 1973.

Honda Customer Service Experience

Zimbrick Honda at Fish Hatchery Road and Zimbrick Honda Service Center at Grand Canyon Drive have once again earned the Honda Customer Service Experience Award.

The 2012 Honda Customer Service Experience Award marks the eighth year since the inception of the award.  Both of the Madison Honda service departments have won it each year.

The acheivement reflects the dealership’s consistent dedication to delivering the highest level of service in the industry.

“I am extremely proud of my team for their commitment to the Zimbrick vision, mission and core values and continuing to deliver outstanding customer service,” said Zimbrick Honda Service Center manager Charlie Cupp.

Honda President’s Award

American Honda Motor Co., Inc., is proud to announce that Zimbrick Honda of Madison, Wisconsin, has earned the Honda President’s Award for its exceptional performance in 2012.  This annual award is presented to Honda’s top-ranking dealerships that achieved excellence in all areas of operation – customer service and sales satisfaction, sales, training, and facility.

This is the 13th year that Zimbrick Honda has earned the distinguished Honda President’s Award.

During 2012, more than 1,000 Honda automobile dealerships from across the country competed for the President’s Award title, with only 112 dealerships earning the award.  Each year the objectives for the program are evaluated to ensure compliance with Honda’s standards.  Honda provides each winning dealership a distinguished trophy and other showroom embellishments to herald their accomplishments.

“The Honda President’s Award was established in 1995 to recognize our outstanding dealerships,” says John Mendel, executive vice president of Automobile Sales for Honda.  “Our goal remains to challenge dealerships to continually grow and set the standard by which other companies aspire.”

United Way Of Dane County 2012 Campaign Results

So many great things happen when you give!

Zimbrick is pleased to share the results of our 2012 United Way of Dane County campaign with you. It was a tremendous success. Zimbrick was sixth in Dane County for Total Employee and Corporate Giving. The company exceeded its goal set at the beginning of the capital campaign, and it set a new record for the company.

In addition to this milestone, Zimbrick also took home a number of awards from United Way of Dane County:

  • Best Practices Award – presented to organizations that execute all of the Best Practices strategies and have an overall increase in giving
  • Platinum Award – presented to organizations with employee gifts averaging between $250 or more per employee
  • Community Impact Award – presented to organizations that have the largest total of employee and corporate giving
  • Employee Engagement Award – presented to organizations with the highest percent participation in an employee campaign

This was also the first year that Zimbrick received the Innovation Award, which celebrates their commitment to raising awareness and resources during the campaign. Zimbrick found ways to increase Leadership Giving participation, retention and donor support needed to advance the community’s Agenda for Change.

Zimbrick utilized one of their key resources – their people – when preparing for the 2012 campaign. General manager Kendall Dahmen put together a team to assist him with the many tasks required to create innovative campaign. Among those tasks – a company softball game at Warner Park (home of the Madison Mallards), a company Texas Hold’em poker tournament, a golf outing, t-shirt sales, jeans days, tailgate lunches, and a partnership with local restaurants.

Most importantly, Zimbrick and its employees are happy to contribute to the betterment of our community!

GM Certified Elite Service At Zimbrick Buick/GMC West

Zimbrick Buick GMC West ServiceThe service department at Zimbrick Buick/GMC West has achieved GM Certified Elite status!

Zimbrick Buick/GMC West has surpassed the requirements in six key categories pertaining to automotive service, including customer satisfaction and technician training.

“A very big thank you to all of my team for being selected as a General Motors Certified Elite dealership,” service manager Tony Maglio said.  “This is a very presigious accomplishment, and one that we couldn’t have done without our outstanding customers.”

General Motors Certified Elite Program is designed to reward those dealerships that perform all parts of their fixed operations business better than any other GM dealer.

For perspective on how difficult it is to become GM Certified Elite, Zimbrick Buick/GMC West was the only dealership out of 30 dealers in the entire region to accomplish this.  Only 125 dealers throughout the nation received this exclusive award.

Madison Magazine has awarded Zimbrick Inc the Best of Madison 2012 gold award in both the “Auto Dealer” and “Body Shop” categories.

The Best of Madison gives the citizens of Madison the ability to choose their favorites in dining, shopping, arts and entertainment.  These honors are determined by a readers’ poll and validated by a third party to ensure the credibility of the program.

Zimbrick has won gold in the auto dealer category every year since Best of Madison started in 2004.

Zimbrick Body Shop, with three locations in the Madison area, was also proud to take home the Best of Madison gold award for the second year in a row.  Check out the new Zimbrick Body Shop website!

Zimbrick Honda Delivers Outstanding Customer Service Experiences

The CSE award is presented by Honda North America to dealerships enrolled in the Professionals Recognition Program who achieve an overall CSE score of 92.0 or better for customer satisfaction in parts and service during the previous year. This success reflects their continued dedication to delivering the highest quality of work and level of customer service that we strive to achieve at all Zimbrick dealerships.

Service consultant Tom Strahota was the District Winner in the Professionals Top Advisor Challenge, and Honda technician John Kowalik was the District Winner in the Professionals Top Tech Challenge.
